Guinea Pig Joined A Polic Force! (By: Aruna)

In Garfield, Ohio the Garfield Police Force has a new mascot, and she's not your standard mascot. Bolo was rescued in August, she was found he was found by a worried citizen that said two guinea pigs had been left outside in the elements, without food or water. Whoever cruelly abandoned them is unknown. Sadly one of the guinea pigs passed by the time the Animal Warden had arrived. Luckily Bolo was saved.

“She was extremely skinny and very timid around people. After a few short weeks, she has finally begun to trust human beings again. Our Dispatchers and Officers have created such a bond with her that we just did not want her to leave,” said the department. In police lingo Bolo means "on the lookout" which all guinea pigs certainly are since their wild side has to be aware of predators in the wild.

If you ever go to Garfiel Police Force Offices you'll get to meet their charming mascot Bolo and she'll give you a warm wheeking welcome!
